Willow Creek Jasper
Hardness (Mohs): 7
Color: Truly I have seen almost all colors in this material, but commonly green, reds, pinks and yellows
Transparency: Opaque to Semi-Translucent
Notable Occurrences: Idaho
From the Willow Creek Mine just north of Boise, Idaho, Willow Creek Jasper is found in a variety of colors and patterns, it is one of the finest "porcelein" jaspers available and is known primarily for it's pastel colors. It is found within nodules, known as "thundereggs" and therefore will sometimes display egg patterns prized so highly among jaspers.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: I'm not aware of any specific to this specific jasper - see Jasper for more Folklore associated with jaspers.
