Found in locations throughout the world, Plume Agate refers to varieties of agate which contain inclusions forming plume-like structures within the chalcedony agate base. These plumes often have feather-like patterns and a "fluffy" appearance. As with Moss Agate, these patters are usually the result of oxide and various mineral inclusions which can result in a wide variety of colors. He has some wonderful images of varieties of these agates.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: Plume Agate in general is said to be useful for improving creativity and creative visualizations. Specific varieties may have other characteristics.
