Picasso Jasper, also sometimes referred to as "Picasso Marble" or "Picasso Stone", is found in Utah and is actually petrified (agatized) mud, silt and magma after infusion into fractures within a limestone base. It displays wonderful patterns of black, grey and brown, like brush strokes across the surface of the stone. The bold patterns can evoke a myriad of different images and create striking jewelry.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: Said to be a calming and grounding stone, but also useful as a dreaming stone assisting in the shamanic healing process; promotes weight loss.
