Morrisonite

Hardness (Mohs): 7
Color: Various Blends of color, including Green, Blue, Brown, Tan, Red, Pink, and Purple
Transparency: Opaque to Semitranslucent
Notable Occurrences: Oregon

Oftentimes referred to as the "King" of Jaspers due to its beautiful colors and patterns, Morrisonite (also sometimes called Morrison Ranch Jasper) is actually named for James Morrison, who lived in a canyon of the Owyhee river in Eastern Oregon. It was discovered in the 1960's and has been one of the more highly desired jaspers since its introduction, actually one of the five "fine jaspers".

Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: I'm not aware of any specific to this variety of jasper.
