Found in the Maury Mountains in Oregon, on land managed by the Ochoco National Forest, Maury Mountain Moss Agate is reknowned for its colorful moss-like inclusions in translucent chalcedony. Not strictly speaking an agate, as it generally has no banding which is one of the primary characteristics of "agate", it has nonetheless been named as Maury Mountain (Moss) Agate.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: I'm not aware of anything specific to this variety of moss agate.
