Found in Western Oregon, near Sweet Home, Oregon, in the Holley Mountain area, this is becomming increasingly rare because, as of 1997, the land is no longer open to digging. It is a "seam" agate (actually crypto-crystalline quartz, or chalcedony) that ranges in color from blue-lavender to a rich pink violet.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: Considered a stone of spirituality, it can open the mind and body to a greater spiritual connection and to new ideas and it can be useful for channelers; it is also associated with communication and expression.
