Larimar, a rare form of blue pectolite of volcanic origin, occurs only in the province of Barahona, in south-western Dominican Republic. The name is a combination of one of the discoverer's daughters, Larissa, and "mar", the spanish word for "sea", denoting the sea blue color.Matching Cabochon Pair
