A fairly new entry to the market introduced in 2000, Ocean Jasper has quickly become a highly prized material. It is truly a unique stone, with its distinct spherical inclusions, originating as spheres of silica rich magma, in a translucent base. The name of "Ocean Jasper" is truly dually descriptive because it was found along the northwest seacoast of Madagascar (only collected at low tide) and they felt that it was "suggestive of the bubbling surf of the sea."Designer Cut Cabochon
