Silicated Chrysocolla
This blue-green member of the quartz family (also known as Gem Silica) is generally found where copper deposits are mined, deriving it's color from oxidized copper, including locations in the southwest United States. This cabochon is from a variety referred to as Silicated Chrysocolla because of it has been so heavily "agatized" in quartz (silica), making it translucent.Oval Cut Cabachon
