Gaspeite

Gaspeite is named after the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec, Canada where it was found in the 1960's. Discovered in nickel sulfide deposits while mining for nickel, it was at first discarded, but has grown in popularity among mineral and lapidary enthusiasts due to its beautiful rich coloring, sometimes including interesting dark brown to black veining and patterns throughout the green.
Folklore/Metaphysical Properties: Being relatively new, Gaspeite does not have any known legends or folklore and the I'm not aware of any metaphysical properties.
