Biggs jasper was discovered while constructing Interstate 84 through Biggs, Oregon. The find is now covered by the freeway and this material is now scarce. Prized Jasper variety often cut to depict landscape scenery. When the blue-grey color is present, it is referred to as Blue Biggs Jasper.
